We've been following the rumors surrounding the OnePlus 5 for a while, and we are more than excited to get our hands on it. That excitement has only increased today, as we learn OnePlus has included a feature in its newest device that resembles the iPhone 7 Plus — real dual cameras.

The Verge reports that, like the 7 Plus, the OnePlus 5 has one normal lens — 16 megapixels, f/1.7 aperture — and one telephoto lens — 20 megapixels, f/2.6 aperture — that will allow users to create a "bokeh" effect with their photos. What this means is the cameras can be combined to create a very shallow depth of field, resulting in a sharp subject and blurred background.

While a welcome feature, it's by no means revolutionary. Apple released this feature last year with its iPhone 7 Plus, and OnePlus has no trouble admitting that:

"We were exploring dual cameras last year, but we knew the education cost would be too high ... We have to thank Apple for educating the market for us."

I have to say, it's refreshing to see a company so open about building upon the ideas of others, rather than claiming everything they do is new and unique. Give credit where credit's due, my friends.

Nonetheless, these cameras look awesome. We don't know for sure how the quality compares to the competition quite yet, but we're itching to take some portrait photos for ourselves.
